Fair terms, plainly put
No fine-print games here either. These are the ground rules for using wed.kiwi.
The short version
wed.kiwi is a free, calm place to plan your wedding. Use it kindly, share it thoughtfully, and it’s yours. Your wedding stays yours — these terms just keep things fair and clear for everyone.
Who we are
wed.kiwi is a small independent business based in Aotearoa New Zealand. When these terms say “we”, that’s the people behind wed.kiwi. By using wed.kiwi you’re agreeing to these terms — and to our privacy policy, which explains how we look after your information.
Your account
You sign in with your email address, so keep that inbox secure — anyone who can read it can reach your wedding. Please give us accurate details, and tell us at kiaora@wed.kiwi if something looks wrong with your account.
What’s free
The essentials — guest lists and RSVPs, your budget, the running order and vendor management — are free, and they’ll stay free. If we ever add optional paid extras, we’ll say so clearly, and nothing will be charged without you choosing it.
Your content
Everything you add to wed.kiwi belongs to you. You give us permission to store it and show it — to you, and to the guests and vendors you choose to share it with — and that’s the only licence we take. Please make sure you’re allowed to add other people’s details, like the names and contacts on your guest list.
Playing fair
Use wed.kiwi for planning your wedding or event — not for anything unlawful, harmful or unkind. Don’t try to break the service, reach into someone else’s wedding, or use it to send spam. If something crosses those lines, we may step in.
Sharing with guests and vendors
Share links — your wedding page, RSVP links and vendor run sheets — work for anyone who holds them, so pass them on thoughtfully. What guests and vendors see is only ever what you’ve chosen to share.
Keeping the service running
We take real care with wed.kiwi, but it’s provided as-is: we can’t promise it will always be available or free of bugs. For the handful of things your day truly depends on — signed contracts, final numbers — we’d suggest keeping your own copy too.
Our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses from using wed.kiwi, and our total liability is limited to what you’ve paid us for the service — which, for the free essentials, is nothing. Nothing in these terms limits rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.
Ending things
You can stop using wed.kiwi and delete your wedding at any time — no lock-in, no exit process. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and we’ll be fair about it, with notice where we reasonably can.
If these terms change
We’ll update this page and the date below. If a change genuinely affects how you use wed.kiwi, we’ll let you know rather than leave you to notice.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of Aotearoa New Zealand, and any disputes belong to the New Zealand courts.
